Dialing-out/Configuring - How to Unsave your Username & Password



my_comp.gif (474 bytes) Double-click on the My Computer icon.
ico_wht.gif (574 bytes) Double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.
main.gif (7612 bytes) Select the OlyPen phonebook entry.
mnu_ed.gif (9882 bytes) Click on the More button and select Edit entry and modem properties...

Country/region: United States (1)

Area code: 360

Telephone number:

Please choose the dial-up number closest to your location:

  • 681-3369 for Sequim / Port Angeles (56k/ISDN)
  • 379-3650 for Port Townsend (56k/ISDN)
  • 374-9747 for Forks (56k/ISDN)

    Use area code and Dialing Properties: Checked.

    Connect using: Select the CORRECT modem driver.

  • ed_srv.gif (5067 bytes) On the Sever Types tab:

    Type of Dial-Up Server:
    PPP: Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet

    TCP/IP:
    checked. (Also check the TCP/IP Settings...)

    Enable software compression:
    checked.

    (No other check boxes should have checks!)

    ed_scr.gif (4566 bytes) On the Script tab:

    After dialing (login): None.

    ed_sec.gif (5519 bytes) On the Security tab:

    Accept any authentication including clear text:
    Selected

    ed_x25.gif (4596 bytes) On the X.25 tab:

    Network: (none)

    All other fields blank.

    main.gif (7612 bytes) Now click on the Dial button to start the connection...
    login.gif (2935 bytes) If you haven't connected successfully before, you will be prompted for your username, password and domain...

    Username:
    Your OlyPen username in small letters eg:

    username@olypen.com

    (The username to dial in on is the same as the first part of your OlyPen email address)

    Password:
    Your OlyPen password in small letters (NO CAPITALS)

    Domain:
    MUST BE BLANK
